PDD Architects
was formed in 1987 and operates from offices in London and Milton
Keynes.
The wide ranging
and comprehensive services we provide include: the preparation
of master plans for residential areas, retail and leisure developments,
business parks, distribution parks and large scale campus style
office developments and education facilities; the detailed planning
of site layouts and infrastructure; the design of buildings, external
areas and landscape; interior design/space planning; the preparation
of production information and the administration of building contracts.
We have a highly motivated team of architects, master planners,
designers, technicians and support staff, and the relevant skills
are assembled to suit the requirements of the Client related to
each specific project.
We place great
emphasis on achieving high standards of layout and design, and
on ensuring that our approach carefully balances environmental
sensitivities and the specific operational needs of our Clients
taking into account commercial and institutional investment criteria,
and we have developed particular expertise in the design of energy
efficient layouts and buildings, and in the planning and design
of layouts and accommodation which allow for phased development
and have the flexibility to respond to possible future adaptation
and change of use.
The broad
base of our experience and expertise brings to each project a
comprehensive understanding of all aspects of development and
combines master planning and urban design capability with a thorough
understanding and proven track record in the detailed design and
implementation of a wide range of developments. Our abilities
to respond speedily, and to maximise opportunity and enhance value
are key ingredients of the services we provide.
We have invested
comprehensively in IT applications, including a CAD system (AutoCAD
2005) which is utilised on most of the projects we undertake.
There are direct interactive/on-line links between our London
and Milton Keynes offices, and where appropriate/necessary, these
are extended to the Client and the other members of the consultant
team, to ensure a fully co-ordinated approach is adopted in the
preparation of base data and design information.
PDD operates
a Quality Management system and has achieved compliance with
the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and the Company carries professional
indemnity insurance at a level which is commensurate with that
required for large scale projects.
Recent and
current Clients include: commercial, industrial and distribution
companies, private land owners, financial institutions, developers,
contractors, universities and government agencies.
We regard
the quality of the relationship between the Client and his professional
advisers as a vital factor in the success of any project, and
we aim to develop a clear understanding of our Client's needs
and to adopt a collaborative approach at all stages from the initial
briefing and scheme option/feasibility studies through the development
of the proposals to the completion of the project.
